“Senator Warner believes we need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil while investing in new technologies that reduce harmful emissions that contribute to climate change. He favors an “all of the above,” portfolio approach that employs solar, wind, bio-fuels, nuclear energy and next generation battery technologies. Senator Warner believes we need to invest in research that focuses on using carbon capture technology so we can continue to use our domestic resources, such as coal, more responsibly. The science surrounding climate change supports the need for dramatic changes in policy, and Senator Warner believes any comprehensive legislation to address this issue must be balanced with the need to keep our economy viable during this challenging time.”

Senator Warner indicates: “The science surrounding climate change supports the need for dramatic changes in policy…” Really? Consensus of opinion does not equal scientific fact! “Climate Change” is an ambiguous, tag that is meant to conceal a lack or true evidence that there is man-caused-global-warming (or cooling) and keep the fund raising for Green pseudoscience at full speed. It is my opinion that Senator Warner is pandering to the “Greenies” for campaign funding and support at the ballot box. Why else would he equate government spending and support of climate change to economic change.

It is great that he supports nuclear power. It is great that he supports the use of Virginia’s coal, Why does he not support drilling of the coast of Virginia for the oil and natural gas that is there? It has bee proven over and over in the Gulf of Mexico that just putting a drill rig platform of sinking an old ship as an artificial reef the bio-diversity explodes. This would be a boon for Virginia’s commercial and sport fishing industries.

Senator Warner has not shown foresight in his stand on energy, the environment and as well as Virginia’s and the nation’s economy

Senator Warner needs to be replaced with a man or woman with vision for the future of Virginia and the Nation. Fire Senator Warner!
